From the good folks over at the new The Ramkat:

The Ramkat, a new concert hall and community performance space located in downtown Winston-Salem’s Entertainment District, has announced the lineup for its opening weekend along with an initial lineup of concerts in March and April. Tickets for all announced shows are available now online at

The Ramkat is a two-level, 11,670-square-foot entertainment venue located at
170 West Ninth St.
On Friday, March 9, The Vagabond Saints Society will present “The Music of
Queen,” a celebration of the legendary British rock band. Doors are at 8 p.m. and
the show will start at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, March 10, the venue will host “Cash Bash,” a long-standing annual
event founded and led by local roots rockers The Bo Stevens in which each band
on the bill covers at least one song in their set by the late great Johnny Cash.
Doors are at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m.
“We’re excited to open The Ramkat with two nights of music featuring artists
primarily from Winston-Salem and the Piedmont Triad but also from throughout
North Carolina,” said Richard Emmett, a co-owner and managing partner of The
Ramkat. “The Vagabond Saints Society has been playing shows in the area for
years, paying tribute to legendary artists, iconic concerts and albums or specific
eras and genres of music. We’re so happy that they’ve chosen to help us open
The Ramkat by tipping their musical hat to Queen, one of the greatest rock
bands of all time.

“And we couldn’t be more happy to continue the annual tradition of ‘Cash Bash’
with The Bo Stevens,” Emmett added. “This will be the 16th ‘Cash Bash’ dating
back to 2003, and Richard Boyd has once again assembled a great multi-band
bill this year that would make Johnny proud.”

In addition to their opening weekend, The Ramkat also announced more shows
in both March and April with a mix of local, regional and national touring acts.
“We’re excited to be bringing Hiss Golden Messenger, The Black Lillies, Deer
Tick and John Moreland to town,” said Andy Tennille, a co-owner and managing partner of The Ramkat, “and complementing those nights with shows from a
reunited Atheneaum, Possum Jenkins, Roy Roberts & The Quest Blues Band,
The Plaids and a great showcase of local indie rock bands headlined by The
Genuine. We’ve got more shows to announce in the coming weeks, so keep your
eyes peeled on our website and social media outlets.”
