Shiloh Hill announces new music, new ‘Autumn Roots’ tour on heels of ‘Wildflower’ album release

Shiloh Hill is a self-described eclectic folk-rock band that layers traditional folk instruments over a rock band rhythm section. My husband and I had the pleasure of discovering their unique sound recently at Craft City Sip-In in Greensboro, North Carolina, where the band is based.

The band’s bio states, “The dance-worthy grooves mingle with hometown banjo, turning the stage into a front porch, where front man Nick Hofstetter and his wife, Mamie, weave stories in harmony. Their winsome, family-band style ensures great fun and even better friends.”

The band is rounded out by Julian Jackson and Jacob Kuhn.

I can attest to the “dance-worthy grooves” we personally witnessed by at least one gentleman. But don’t take our word for it. Check out the band’s new music video, “Firefly & Me,” or better yet, buy their first full-length album, “Wildflower,” released in August.

Then go catch a set or two yourself at one of the following venues or listen to them on Spotify and let me know what you think!

  1. Yes!!! I love this band

  2. Reblogged this on musicreporterblog and commented:

In light of Shiloh Hill’s Thursday, March 1, show at Muddy Creek Music and Dance Hall in Bethania, North Carolina, with Brooklyn-based Common Jack, I thought I would re-post this story I wrote about the Greensboro-based group in October. Tickets for tonight’s show are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Shiloh Hill also made my “Favorite Musical Picks for 2017” published here and on The Huffington Post for the group’s most recent album, “Wildflower.” Go check them out. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
