The Lynchstock Music Festival is celebrating five years of music on April 22 and is moving to Riverfront Park in Downtown Lynchburg, Virginia.

With more than 40 local bands, musicians and performers including Dawes, SUSTO and the Will Overman Band, Lynchstock Music Festival is the largest local music and arts festival in Central Virginia. Pre-sale tickets are a bargain at $18 or $25 at the gate. Purchase tickets here.

According to the website, in 2013, “200 people attended the inaugural Lynchstock, which hosted 4 bands on a wooden-pallet stage. In 2014, our festival grew to three stages, 15 bands, and nearly 1,000 attendees. In 2015, we moved to The Yard at Benjamin’s Restaurant and included 30 acts and 2,000 attendees. In 2016, over 3,000 people joined us at Benjamin’s Restaurant, signaling it was time for us to move back into the city for 2017.

“We work to provide a festival experience that is exciting, welcoming, and collaborative. Since music unites people of ALL creeds and backgrounds, our event is open to people of all ages. We believe that our festival’s welcoming and fun vibe sets us apart as on of the fastest-growing festivals in Virginia!¬†We believe in introducing children to the power of music, art, and community, so our event is free to children 12 and younger.

“We hope for a perfect, sunny Spring day. If this happens, then bring your blanket. If not, bring your poncho. The music and art will go on, either way!”
