Rooster Walk 7 adds Mountain Heart to Memorial Day weekend lineup, ticket prices go up March 15

Mountain Heart, the cutting-edge bluegrass band that’s been redefining the genre for more than a decade, has been officially added to the Rooster Walk 7 lineup, which also includes Lake Street Dive, the Steep Canyon Rangers, Southern Culture on the Skids, Yarn, Dangermuffin, The Mantras, BIG Something and many more! “We are thrilled to welcome Mountain Heart back to Rooster Walk,” says Johnny Buck, co-founder and executive director of the Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival. “The band is led by Bassett native Josh Shilling, an incredible vocalist, musician and friend of the festival.”

Members of Mountain Heart have been nominated for Grammys, ACM and CMA awards and the band as a whole has been nominated for and won multiple IBMA Awards. The group has appeared on the revered stage of the Grand Ole Opry more than 130 times, according to the Rooster Walk website. Mountain Heart has shared the stage with acts ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Montgomery Gentry, Merle Haggard, George Jones and Brad Paisley to Alison Krauss,  The Avett Brothers, Yonder Mountain Stringband, The Punch Brothers, Levon Helm, John Fogerty and Danville, Va., native Tony Rice, among others.

Mountain Heart will be performing Sunday, May 24, at Rooster Walk. Ticket prices for the four-day festival are currently $115 for General Admission weekend passes and $250 for VIP, but they will increase on Sunday, March 15.  Tickets can be ordered HERE. “The festival headliner will be announced shortly after ticket prices increase on the 15th,” Buck says.
